cheese: had exactly the same as you – semi-rigid plasticy thing over the sim slot. Also looks like the pic-e connector is in there. Not cracked the case as yet, will wait for the rest of the components to arrive…but panic over!
Soldering support ?
My N120 arrived today – not cracked the case yet to see what I have/haven’t got, but the blanking plate on the SIM slot doesn’t inspire confidence that I have the card holder or slot. Can anyone help/point me in the direction of someone who could help with any required soldering ? Not soldered in a few years and my shaky old hands aren’t as young as they used to be 🙂 (components also seemed to be a lot bigger when I were a lad!) I’m based in London, UK btw
I have a stack of components already enroute to me – Sierra 3G card, WLAN upgrade (N), 500Gb hard drive, the required antenna etc. not ordered the card holder or pci slot until sure I need them.
