Thats what I’m thinking, though I have heard mixed reviews about them, and fitting a Motherboard isn’t overly complex. The only downside would be if I’ve come to the wrong conclusion.. I’ll have bought a Motherbaord and gained nothing, alterntatively, if i’m right, I’ve paid Digicare for something I already knew / could have done myself.
I don’t have to wait any longer than you’d expect for the power down, and theres nothing from the Hard Drive, I’m pretty confident that it’s the MB to be honest, the guy I got it off had set it up, installed everything he wanted, and then it just wouldn’t come on again – instead of sending it back DOA under warranty he opened it up to have a look and invalidated it… so I think if I can find somewhere to get a Motherboard I will. did you eve get a price from digicare? or anywhere else?
Thanks for the suggestion, but resitting the RAM had no affect. What did you end up doing with your faulty Laptop? did you manage to get it working?
