Memberha! got it!
Fired up services.msc from start then run
scrolled down to remote service adapter
found it was disabled
enabled it and started it and now at least the SCM says trying to connect!!
Probably works with my O2 sim as well!
However, it hasn’t actually connected yet…Do you have a source for vodafone settings APN etc??
Thanks for your help dude
we got there in the end

MemberHey Jeepers, thanks for your help.
This thing is doing my head in!
When I go to create a DUN connection none of the boxes are selectable. Interestingly, on the control panel when i try and select phone and modem options it says “phone and modem control panel cannot be opened. you may have a problem starting telephony services”
Anyway I ordered a vodafone broadband modem with SIM (top up and go) slotted it in, and guess what… exactly the same RAS error! This is not a sim card issue (tried custom settings) its this bloody samsung hspa modem and the nc10 its connected too….Any ideas??
Cheers mate

MemberThanks jeepers01
I tried to make a custom profile but still same issue
My phone lets the IP addresses be server assigned but SCM doesn’t, so I may have these wrong
I have a contract sim from O2 (simplicity)
If you know the settings and IP addresses that would be great.
Really, thanks for your helpP
