MemberHow do I turn it off?

MemberJust tried on my NC10 – seems fine. Wonder if this is a problem with the full screen –
what browser are you using? Perhaps view in “popout2 and see if that makes a difference – it will then operate as its own process?

MemberI do trust Windows Firewall. IMO Microsoft are best judged to plug the security holes in their own software. I am not a microsoft fanboy mind – it is just logical to me.
That said, I am sat behind a hardware firewall in the shape of my router. So not worried.
AVG I found to be poor compared to Avast. CCCleaner – I run it – but like you not sure it has any benefit. I suppose I feel better – like cleaning the NC10 on the inside 🙂

MemberDOH – tough luck 🙁
I’m with the earlier post – home insurance claim might be worth a try . . . Generally claims under £500 don’t add to your premium.
And once settled, ensure the insurance Co. turn the dead laptop over to you and then sell it on e-bay. Get your XS back at least 🙂 – although MAKE SURE the insurance company say the dead NC10 is YOUR property (otherwise it is theft ! ! !)

Memberah – so I was sort of right 😉 –
Easily done though – we have ALL done it – come on – admit it you lot ! ! ! !

MemberHave they both got the same network name (i.e. laptop) – ?
If possible pop round a friends house and try to connect on their router . . . .
That will eliminate the NC10.

MemberNot being funny – but my Dad had EXACTLY the same problem. He had typed in an incorrect WEP / WPA security code.
Tell the NC10 to forget your network, then set it up again taking extra care.
It may be nothing – but it took me and my Dad 2 days to find this out.
I have a new motto now – check the bl**dy obvious 1st 🙂

MemberAvast for me –
And for “McAfee CAN be removed” read “McAfee MUST be removed” – 🙂

MemberI run iTunes and share my music library from main laptop with no issues at all 🙂

MemberTiny flies – really ? ? ?
Never heard that one . . . . (not dismissing BTW – just a new one to me) 🙂
Blue
MemberI have to say – if it ain’t broke . . . . . 🙂 – however I am like a curious cat – and we know what happened to the cat 😉

MemberI am confused? Are you saying one of your NC10’s is noisy?
If so – check the power control properties – it may be that you have the processor set to Max performance. If this is the case, the fan will click in and out.
Little sound from the keyboard? The keyboard will be silent until you touch it – then it will make a click? sorry if this is pedantic but I don’t understand the statement?
Ship to Samsung to check out? – I wouldn’t unless it is roaring. From the way you describe it, it sounds pretty normal to me 🙂
