A damp micro fibre cloth is all I use…
[/quote1251463258]Thanks. Damp with regular tap water or deionised water as some suggest?
I have also seen suggestions that a 50/50 solution of deionised water and white vinegar can be used.

As jeepers01 said your best bet is to change the internal wireless cardI have an Intel Draft N and extra aerial sat in my garage ready to install – just need some time and downtime so I’m not using the NC10 ! It was bought via Ebay from Hong Kong at a good price (recommended from here)
My NC10 is used alongside my works Dell D610 using an intel ABG wireless card (can’t remember exactly what it is) but the Dell is a lot better than the standard Atheros card you get in the NC10
Be brave and get yourself an extra aerial and better wireless card 🙂
[/quote1249626577]Well that is certainly an idea for the future.
Bravery is not an issue – I have been in the computer business for 33 years and built and modified numerous PC’s etc in that time.
What I was looking for was a quick and portable option, and NetGear USB option has provided that.
If I am ever anywhere where the signal to the internal wireless is weak, I can quickly disable it and plug my USA wireless straight in.
On the end of a length of USB cable you can also raise it high to get even more signal to it.

MemberNetgear USB wireless just arrived and installed – big signal boost 🙂
Also comes with a USB cable about 3 feet long, so the USB can be raised high, attached to a wall etc.
Will see how it is in the public places, hotels, airports etc.

MemberJayne – thank you very much indeed for the RAM advice – that will be most useful. I am inclined to go ahead with that ASAP. The NC10 already works great, but RAM is always a good investment.
Dokher – I have Netgear Wireless at home. Actually the built in Wireless is minimum strength 2 everywhere, and it is quite a large house with plenty of walls and a floor in between.
In the past the issues have always been connecting to public wireless hot spots, and in particular private ones at hotels, airports, camp sites and so on.
I don’t know why Samsung do not have an external aerial port on the side, so all we need to do is plug it in and raise it. It could even be attached so it is just raised. A high gain “rubber duck” antenna a few inches long would probably double or treble the wireless range at minimal cost.
I am sure the USB wireless will boost the signal, and being USB it can easily be used in other computers.
I will report back when I receive it and use it for a few days.

Can’t offer much help on wireless extenders apart from suggesting a google search on the subject, but a few forum members have fitted the Intel 5300 card which is reported as being good for extending the wireless range. Have a look at this thread (it’s a long read!)
[NC10]Intel 5300 draft nI’m still using the Atheros card in mine and I find the range good so have not felt the need to swap over to the Intel 5300 as yet.
Glad you are enjoying your sammy 🙂
[/quote1249505499]Thanks for your suggestions.
I have just purchased a NetGear USB wireless adaptor which just plugs in to the USB port and can be used on any of my computers – I have a fair few 🙂
Waiting for it to arrive and cost me £12 which is about $20 so can’t go wrong.
The Sammy is a phenomenal piece of equipment – I have been in the PC business for 33 years and seen many things, but this one has seriously impressed.
Looking to RAM upgrade and Windows 7 when finally launched.
