It is only natural that existing N120 owners will rationalise and play down the importance of the display issue and some may genuinely be happy with the N120 in spite of its slightly squashed screen. Samsung for some reason are using a non-standard aspect-ratio in the N120 but this will not be seen as a fault by a supplier who will charge for re-stocking if this bothers a customer after purchase. My intention was to highlight this problem to those who are shopping around trying to find their ideal netbook.
Anybody can make a mistake, measure incorrectly, not see something and that is fine but the premature trolling and BS-ing was not necessary.

The screen of my N120 is 8.75″ by 4.9375″ so the DPI is a non-square ~117×121.5. For those in metric the screen is 223 mm by 125 mm.
If OTACORB’s 400×400 square is really a square then that N120 has a different screen.

Sorry, my N120 is packed in its box to be returned but see a photo showing the NC10 and N120 side by side to compare screen aspect ratios.

You sound very confident. Draw a 400 by 400 pixel square in Paint, measure the sides with a ruler and you will see what I mean.
Strictly speaking this is not a “fault” but bad design which the user will not know about until looking at the screen. All N120 netbooks are like this.
