MemberHi for a small machine, I would suggest you to install ubuntu 10.10. For brigthness issue and specific function keys look at voria ppa.
On my NF 310, I’ve installed Ubuntu 11.10 with gnome 3. It was perfect but slower than gnome 2.79DC

Anyone find a fix for this yet other than needing to RMA the netbook? I just purchased an NF-310 two weeks ago and the A Z S X C and Fn keys worked intermittently and now do not work at all.
I am typing this on a usb keyboard that I plugged in, all keys that do not work on the netbook work fine through the keyboard.
I start to have the same problem with the S key then C, X,W. It seems to appear when the processor was hot. The problem can be solved by pressing several times and strongly the same key. So It’s a hardware problem but it’s not due to an electronic component. I supposed that the origin of the problem is the expansion due to the heat of the processor. So I opened my netbook, used a canned air to clean the keyboard. And finally I loosened the screws on the keyboard.
I’ve no problem for the past three days.79DC
