MemberHi Friends,
Recently I purchased a brand new Samsung NP-N100s netbook. After using few day my OS System has beeb crashed. I’m trying to setup Widows 7. but there is a problem still running. windows setup file loaded from USB drive. but when my hard disk drives list show and i am trying to install win 7 on a drive, it say’s
“setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. see the setup log files for more information.”
I have tried to setup windows 7 and feeling very bad situation.
please please please help me!

MemberIn Windows you can only have FOUR (4) System Partitions
Samsung supply their computers with a Set-up/Restore ‘system’
On first switch on, it Installs Windows from a (built-in and hidden) partition; it usually ‘suggests’ you set-up a second partition for your data so you end up with
1. a 100Mb partition with a mini set-up program
2. a 20Gb (approx) HIDDEN Set-up/Restore Partition
3. the C: drive with Windows installed on it and
4. the D: drive for back-up and Data FilesYou would need to split the D drive and make an extended (E:) Partition in it, to free up a system partition
It is MUCH EASIER to try and use the Restore facility – (press F4 right after start up, then select COMPLETE restore)
rather than trying to Re-install Windows from the USB Stickor
do a Repair Install – using Windows 7 on the USB Stick as shown on this website…
