I Have a Samsung NP-N145:JP04AU, with Windows 7 Starter installed OEM. I recently uninstalled a couple of programs, but the uninstaller removed the majority of my registry. I can no longer access any of my data folders or Control Panel, My Computer etc. No USB access either. If I upgrade and install Windows 7 Home Premium will the installation fix my Registry errors and problems with Windows Explorer?
Please help
I assume you used an Uninstaller program rather than the built in feature – which is,
right click the program name in Programs and Features (in Control Panel)… choose uninstall…
OK so first make a back up of essential stuff, like photos – emails & etc (to an external drive if possible) DEFINITELY NOT on the C drive…
When you FIRST switch on – look at the Samsung splash screen… centre bottom – you should see – F4 for recovery (or similar)
O.K. so do that – (switch off and switch on again with finger hovering over the F4 key) tap F4 when you see the screen…
Do a COMPLETE RECOVERY to take you back to the day you bought your computer….
Oh yes – now re-install all the stuff you DO want… and –
This time use the Programs and features section of control panel to remove programs…
That’s what it is there for – rather than spending good drinking money on a program that could trash your computer… :-))
I have my hard disk partitioned into C and D drives, I know that a Complete Restore on my system will erase all data on C drive, but will it erase all data stored on my D drive aswell?
NO… only the C: Drive
