Weird beeping sound every now and then

Hi all,

I have the following problem with my Samsung N150. I have it since a month and a half and last two weeks I’ve noticed some weird beeping sound . It happened Last Friday 3:40 am and last night the same time. Exactly one week. I have no idea where it comes from. There is nothing displayed on the screen while the sound and after that, the sound lasts about 1-2 seconds and is like a PC-speaker sound, ending with kind of a click.
The same click happens sometimes when I restart my netbook, but there is no sound then, only the click.
Do you have any ideas?

since you said a click i’m thinking its the harddisk.
Would it be possible to get HDtune and paste the stats here so show the smart data of your hdd.

Hi, thanks for the advise. I tested it with a HDD tune:

It seems that I will call Samsung tomorrow to pick up the netbook and repair / change the HDD.

Well, I called Samsung Hotline number and they said that it is normal to hear weird noises from the HDD every now and then, but once I mention the warning messages they agreed to take it for repair.
Can’t complain, they were very polite. Let’s see how long will the repair last.
