Member“NetBook : Can I Upgrade The Memory (RAM) On My Netbook?
Upgrading the memory does not void the manufacturer’s warranty. However, if your computer requires service and the problem is caused by the upgraded memory, Samsung is only responsible for ensuring that the computer meets factory specifications for the components that were bundled and sold with the unit. Samsung is not responsible for the upgraded memory or problems caused by the upgraded memory.
For example,
•If you upgraded the memory, and you have a problem with your Wireless LAN that requires service, Samsung will service your notebook under warranty.
•If you upgraded the memory, and you have a problem with the memory that requires service, Samsung will not service your notebook under warranty.
Note: You can find instructions for upgrading the memory on page 150 of the User’s Guide. To access the User’s Guide click Start > All Programs > Samsung > User’s Guide.Below is a table that lists the memory upgrade specifications:

MemberThat’s why you keep the original RAM and swap it back in if you ever need to send off your netbook for repair.
