Looks pretty smart to me.:)
Does anyone know if that netbook (N310 14BL) has the 5 cell battery? Theres no mention on the Samsung site, nor Tigerdirect.. (nor anywhere for that matter!)

MemberHi chrisp7,
I couldn’t see the number of cells specified there either. There is a phone number to call on that page though, maybe they could answer you directly.

MemberHaha, brilliant!
I found it interesting that Tigrerdirect’s own advice, further down the page, was to ensure that you knewexactly how many cells your potential purchase came with 🙂

[/quote1263780143]How did you find that out!? I called Samsung US, UK, emailed them, emailed Tiger Direct, called them multiple times etc. At the end I risked it, and its arriving to the UK tomorrow. Will let you know if its 6 cell.
EDIT – I noticed its been removed from sale, ha. I called Samsung US, they said that this netbook shouldnt be sold in the US as it is not US product – ie its a ‘grey’ good. Naughty naughty tigerdirect!

MemberLike you, I called Tigerdirect.com, then Samsung. I initially got no where. I blasted the first rep for not knowing anything about their own product. I told him I wasn’t satisfied simply accepting the “I don’t know” answer. He even gave me the line about this being a ‘grey market’ item. He finally put me in touch with someone from their business division. This man was confused as well, however, he wanted to know more about how Tigerdirect got this product. He was able to locate an internal document and someone that worked on the development team for this specific version of the N310. He sent an email to me that contained the above information. He stated this product was designed/released specifically for Tigerdirect in the US.
FYI – The item wasn’t pulled, they’re simply out of stock on it. When Tigerdirect, CompUSA, or Circuit City run out of an item, they remove it form their site until it’s available again. Don’t expect to get a straight answer from them as to when that will be. I hope this info helps. It’s worth nothing the label on the underside of the Netbook makes reference to North America. Again this is not grey market, apparently, few at Samsung seem to know about it.
