MemberThe problem encountered was after i paired my windows mobile device with my netbook. The pc kept indicating ‘missing bluetooth peripheral driver’ for my device. I knew there was nothing wrong with my phone because i has been pairing on xp before the windows 7 install. After a google search i found that this problem had been occuring in vista and the drivers needed were actually for microsoft. The answer to this was:
Go to device manager, you’ll see an unknown device named bluetooth peripheral device. Double click it to open its properties
Click ‘re-install driver’ on the second tab.
Click Browse my computer for driver software’ button
Click ‘Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer’
There may be a list asking for device type, select ‘bluetooth radios’
On the next page there will be a list of company names on the left side and a list of drivers on the right. In the company list choose ‘Microsoft Corporation’ … not ‘Microsoft’. Confirm selection is microsoft corporation.
On the drivers list there may be one or more driver versions for the mobile phone, select a newer version.
Click next, and ignore any warnings and keep pressing next
Then it shows successfully installed driversAfter i had done this i was able to send files from my phone to PC but i still could not send files from PC to phone because during sending it stops and says ‘no services found’. I could not find any solution for this. Tried to check if it could still work in xp so restarted system and booted in xp. Then paired my phone in xp and it worked there. I restarted the system and entered into windows 7 and it had started working there too.

MemberThank you, phabreel 🙂
Under Windows 7, I was having trouble using my mobile as a BT modem, but I hadn’t got round to sorting it out.

MemberOdd, they worked fine with my Touch Diamond2 out of the box, didn’t have to do anything special to get file transfers and internet via the phone no problem. 🙂

HI to all forum members,
I have been trawling the forums for a while and like this 1 🙂
I have recently bought a NP NC10 as new and hardly used and get a load of hours out of the battery, i have loaded windows 7 pro on it , upgraded ram etc… i have been on xp for yrs without probs hence the upgrade, i paired my smartphone without any problems until the windows 7 upgrade when i get the above faults.
I have proceeded as above but have no Microsoft corporation listed and am requiring assistance please to pair my phone to transfer work pictures to a folder on my NC10.
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards and hello all once again:o -
