I thought that too. There was a time when buying a Vaio meant getting something new, extra or special, and paying the premium for it.
Agreed… the only selling point seems to be a 10.1″ screen with a higher than “normal” res. at 1366 x 768, yet, the keyboard seems too small to compete in the netbook arena at this stage of the game…
hahaha yeah but you’ll still get people paying the over the odds price for it, you know like those apple types 😉
not to speak of the inferiour battery life on sonys. who cares it looks expensive when it lasts for two hours …
The resolution is actually one of the finer selling points imo. The only hi-res so far is the Dell Mini 10 which has been getting pretty bad reviews and HP which is equally as expensive.
The battery life on the Vaio W is reason enough not to get this though imo. The only way they will even be considered competitive is with a minimum 6-cell battery.
