Help needed please. I used my Sammy for the first time on a flight yesterday to watch a movie on battery power. I was using KPM player to watch the DVD I had copied to the hard drive. I had purchased the DVD !! After 2 minutes normal play the screen went darker until I touched the key pad or nudged the mouse, then the normal brightness was restored. I had to keep doing that continuously. I looked at the display settings and power management settings but I cannot see a way to fix the problem. I assume the darkening is to save power? Any help will be appreciated.
Turn off auto-dimming?
I have been looking for boxes to untick / adjust either under display settings or power management but I can’t find a way to extend the time before the screen darkens.
Check the Samsung Battery Manager Tray-Icon
Many thanks. I just realised that I needed to go in via the Samsung Battery Manager rather than via the Windows Control panel and I think I have now found the boxes to untick. Again, thanks for the advice.
does anybody know how to do the opposite ?
I use the netbook with ligths off at night and was wondering is there is a way of keeping that dimness…
i.e when the screen goes dim because the moment you move the cursor it restores normal dimness. even the lowest setting is not dim enough for me – any way of keeping the automatic dimness levels
(this seems to be 2 or three notches less then the lowest dimness available manually). one for you techs out there.
thanks.
