Samsung update plus on my N 120 has been giving this message for two days now:
“Automated process and is automatically downloading and/ or installing new software……..
What can I do to help it along?
My suggestion: Uninstall it and download whatever updates you actually want manually.
If you do want to try it, go to the Samsung website and make sure you’re on the latest version of the update software.

i tried to get update plus 2, it downloaded, the wizard started and removed some stuff then disappeared before installing. samsung seem to have only version 1 on their site.
do i need all this samsung stuff on my netbook or can i get ride of it and use freeware?I have exactly the same issue on my NC10. It has been working fine then I downloaded the Easy Resolution Manager, which downloaded fine. Since then the Update Plus says the same message as above whenever I open it, been this way for a few days now. Have restarted netbook three times to see if that helps, but no luck so far…….
The Updater has historically never worked great for many people, myself included. Many chose to download updates direct from the Samsung site.
@piedwagtail91 Arguably you don’t “need” any of these things to use your netbook but you will lose some functionality if you get rid of it all. For example you might have probs with the FN keys etc, but if you have other utilities to manage backups or network connectivity then you won’t need the Samsung ones.
