Has anyone tried ordering another battery for the NF210? The machine isn’t exactly light with the 6cell battery and wondered where I could find a more portable battery.
Ah what’s the difference? always in tow now is a laptop bag full of accessories and coils of charger cables snaking out of every pocket. There’s my car power-converter, the charger cord, blutooth dongle, wired mouse, mini-dvd-burner, iPod cable, blutooth headset and charger, external USB Hard Drive,a few system discs to revive the damn thing and finally a pen and notepad to ride-out an EMP attack, I guess.
Should have bought an iPAD. 😎
I’m also looking for an extra battery for NF210 but was told by the shop some of the accessories haven’t out yet. The battery only last for 4-5 hours with everything on by default from factory but I managed to squeeze 8-9 hours for doing word processing and playing some old games with emulator on Windows Starter by
– Turn off/Uninstall Norton (for approx. 1 hr+ battery life) you will also notice better performance too.
– Turn off the Wifi & Bluetooth when don’t need it (approx. extra hour)
– Switch from Areo to the Classic theme that will able to squeeze a little bit more.Only turn off anti-virus/firewall if you know what you are doing though.
OMG, turn off aero! Windows 7 Home Premium is the first time i’ve ever given microsoft my money and I think my timing was right. The look and feel is … sensuous? The NF210 complements the experience. Or maybe I just need some time offline. Those are solid tips though. Couldn’t even add anything except for the obvious, selecting a lower performance setting by clicking the battery icon running in the notification area. Thanks.
