So the Samsung N510 netbook manual has been officialy revealed.
It seems that it will be ION LE version, not the ION, I wonder will it be a big difference in performance or not 🙂
First impresion on keybord, I dont like it’s layout, and that big sign of “%”, I wonder what it means?

Well I think the ION LE is just a GeForce 9400M restricted to DirectX 9.
I wouldn’t expect there to be any difference as far as playing back Flash videos and general use.
However watching videos which use certain codecs (e.g. BlueRay) should allow HD to run well also gaming should improve over the Intel and Via systems.

I hadn’t even heard of the ION LE until today!
The ION LE will be perfect for Win XP, but Vista and Win 7 could make use of DirectX 10 with the ION. Those wishing to change OS may want to think twice.
Maybe that is a clue to what the N511 will be?

shame its 2gb max, my acer revo r3600 is liking 3gb, i ve just sold my nc10 with the hope of buying a nc510 i just dunno what to do….

I sold my NC10 in early July hoping to buy the N510. And then the bombshell today is that it will actually be incorporating ION LE. Lol, and this will be £450 according to the last wave of rumours/leaks. I hate to think what the N511 (likely with ION + W7) will be priced at.Really unhappy with Sammy so far. I hope the N510 is like £400 or less and the N511 will be £450. I can’t pay any more, and I don’t expect anyone in the world to!
