MemberHi,
I have recently bought a brand new Samsung N210 netbook, and obviously looking to use it in order to connect to a wireless network.
The problem is that the wireless adapter does not seem to be detected anywhere on the system.
Has anybody had this problem, and if so, are there any quick fix solutions?
Thanks

MemberOk, you may have to help me with checking that. This is the first Windows system I have owned for about 6 years so I am hugely novice.

MemberI have managed to get into the BIOS, and there doesn’t seem to be any problems there.

MemberSeems strange. As far as i know, N150s come shipped with either WIFI, or 3G modem.
So, Maybe this is the problem?Check in device manager what kind of network devices are installed.
Press Win+R, and then typedevmgmt.msc
and then look for network adapters. Is there anything 802.11/Wifi on the list?
If so, what are they? Also make sure that drivers are installed. But if you didn’t modify anything special in the system, there is no reason for them to disappear.
devmgmt.msc
and then look for network adapters. Is there anything 802.11/Wifi on the list?

MemberThere are no WiFi adapters in the list. I have tried re-installing drivers but still nothing.
Are there any options left?
Thanks

MemberIf you haven’t disabled things like USB hub or PCI bus in device manager, then it seems that there’s no wifi card at all.
Asking again: Is your netbook equipped with 3G modem?
If it is, and you have not modified anything in hardware/software, then it might be the cause.November 17, 2011 at 4:43 pm #217865xiaosan

MemberPost a screen from devmgmt.msc with “network adapters” opened. Also try Fn+F9 to on/off wireless modules.
