September 11, 2011 at 1:08 am #167590user MemberI have had a Samsung N130 for about 2 years. It came with the standard 2 year warranty and I want to see if this can be solved at home before going to Best Buy and having to pay most likely because it’s a software problem and is not covered. I called Samsung today and asked if they had a Windows 7 Starter Edition disk but, I would have to pay to get it re-imaged. My problem is: – I Want to restore my computer to the factory default
Problem:When I open Samsung Recovery Solution 4 it says “The recovery partion cannot be found.” and I have found similar posts on this website but none really apply to my specific problem. When I restart my computer and press F4 to get access to the recovery area, it sits there blank with the little bar blinking and not loading files. I had it repaired at Best Buy a year ago or so and it was an HDD Error so they replaced the HDD and re-installed Windows 7 Stater Edition. When I used the Samsung Recovery Solution before it worked but now it does not. I have went to Disk Managment and I have a drive that has no letter assigned to it and it has 15.00 GB Free. I cannot upload a picture because it is not working, I get an error “Cannot move/copy file”, its not read-only or anything it might just be my computer or picture up-loader error. I do not know what to do. I’m thinking of going to Best Buy and spending my hard earned money but I would first love to know how to fix this at home first. Simplified: F4 does not work; not loading, black screen with _ blinking Samsung Recovery Solution 4 not loading because “Recovery partion not found.” I have a 15.00 GB free letter un-assigned Recovery Partion drive, and I want to see if fixable here before Best Buy. Please respond ASAP I need this solved. Thanks. September 11, 2011 at 10:34 pm #220353jeepers01 Participantuser – Welcome to the forum Try ‘Fix MBR’ with the Admin Tool
