As the title says, I want to restore my netbook to its original condition.
I have a fully working N150 which is only a few weeks old with Windows 7 Starter and all other partitions in place as new (including the recovery partition).
I want to experiment with some Linux distributions and not worry too much about keeping any of the previous contents on the HDD.
Eventually I would like to restore the N150 back to its original condition with Windows 7 etc.
My question is really this : what do I need to backup so that I can restore fully in the future ? Is it just the recovery partition ?
Any help / advice / thoughts appreciated.

Image your entire drive before messing about. Using Ghost, Clonzilla or similar tool.
Back this up to an external drive. After that feel free to play at will!
Thanks for response. I understand I can image the whole drive, but what is the minimum I can get away with ?
(assuming I want to restore it to ‘as new’ condition).
Processor,
It’s either do that now or later. By that I mean do a restore now from the recovery and then image the drive as SammySupportTech suggests for a ‘Factory Fresh’ image. Or! Image now and do the recovery later. If you image now you will have the installs you have now. Your option…. 😉 JohnP
