This could be a really dumb question but I just used the recovery programme to do a complete recovery on my HDD, When the system restarted (XP) it has 2 accounts. Demo and Main. Demo is fine to get it but its limited access. Main is password protected and I dont knw what the password is. Please Help! : )
Thanks in AdvanceWhen you bought the netbook did you run through the installation and partitioning of the hard drive, or is it one that was already used and had already been setup?
Anyway check out the Microsoft knowledge article on resetting a password (How to log on to your Windows XP-based computer if you forget your password or if your password expires),
specifically Method 2. Oh and the default Administrator password should be blank.ititchscfc – Welcome to the forum
You may find this thread helpful as there is a link to some utilities in it, but try with no password first. ie. blank
