For those of you who’ve had the US version for a while, how long does it run on a single battery top up?
I dont think anyone even has a NC20.. or why you would want one with the worse 1.3mhz processor
Get a N120

The NC20 has been getting positive reviews and the processor compares well in benchmarks, but the N120 is an option and is now up on Newegg [red=neweggn120white]here[/red] (feel free to start a thread else where to discuss this if you wish :)!)
Anyway, does anyone have any thoughts on OP’s post? 🙂

Who is OP? 🙂
Sometime people talk in mnemonics that others may find it difficult to understand. 🙂 🙂

I want to know how long the NC20 battery (US version) lasts in real world usage. I’ve seen reports ranging from 4 hours to 6.5.
I want the NC20 for the larger screen, and the larger keyboard. It’s coming down to the NC20 or the Acer Aspire One Pro 731 (with the 11.6″ screen) for me.
The N120 is basically a new coat of paint on the NC10. The NC10 is too small for what I need it for.
I ran a “torture test” battery benchmark: Streaming NASA TV over Wi-Fi full-screen until the battery died. The NC20 with the US 4900mAH battery lasted 4 hours, 50 minutes.
In more typical usage (web browsing/e-mail) I typically see about six hours.
As for the N120, apples and oranges. I don’t want a 1024×600 screen–that’s why I went with the NC20.
battery tests are meaningless unless you specify to what level was the screen dimmed and the processor slowed down

Well, since you asked so nicely…
The times I was talking about were with 50% brightness and Batterymanager set to Normal.
Wow, in that case, 4:50 battery life is pretty awesome!!
