Brand new samsung N210 net book, replaced the 1G with 2G kingston brand ram which is supposed to be compatible. when I turned it on nothing at all happened, just black screen! I followed the instructions to the letter as this would not be my forte. I then tried replacing the it with the original ram and still the same result!
all help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you’re not seating the RAM in the slot correctly.
Make sure the notch in the connector edge of the RAM chip lines up with the ridge in the socket (the RAM chip only goes in one way around).
Also, make sure the RAM chip is pushed in firmly, and the it ‘clicks-in’ place on both sides.
