Hi recently I noticed that in my screen on samsungu nc 10 on the sides, on the minimum level of brightness there is something like an aura that is little brighter than in other parts, whether it’s normal, or perhaps a small defect in the factory of this type of monitors ?

sorry for ba english, part of my post was made using trnslatorazotyp – Our NC10 screens are perfect so what you describe would not be normal IMO.
The picture you posted was not very clear so I couldn’t make out the exact problem. Any chance of another picture ?
I believe that I see the ‘problem’ in the picture. I am really unsure as to how normal viewing might be affected though.

This picture was best I could do cose I have old 2 megapixel camera (I bought it used on auction).azotyp – I had another look at the picture and I can see the slight aura on the right hand side of the LCD panel, which I missed last night.
As a suggestion have you tried upgrading/replacing the video driver. Never know it might help if it’s not a hardware problem.
It could also be a poor connection to the LCD screen connector or ribbon cable. Does the aura change it the lid is moved?

azotyp, Is your NC10 new, that is, does it have the old 10.2″ screen or the newer 10.1″?
I am looking at the older screen and I don’t seem to see the same thing.
That looks like backlight bleed to me.
Mine has a very slight backlight bleed, though I can only see it if I’m in the dark. Mine also has some slightly uneven lighting in the bottom right corner, though thats also only visible when I’m in the dark and the backlight is set to maximum.
1 yes netbook is new had it maybe like 2-3 months with 2 years warranty, that little aura is like a 2-3 mm frame in all screen.
2 Ive nocticed something similar in my lg flatron lcd screen on my PC maybe it is something common in screens , dont know (but lg was lcd and samsung is oled (i think))
Maybe if something other durring time of warranty will brake, i will ask them to check the screen too
