Quakelive runs pretty smooth

I have 2gb ram, and enabled VIA_ADV (F + F11 / F + F12) – VGA panel and “Allow direct frame buffer” (no idea how much performance this gives) for the gfxcard and set it to use 256 ram. Latest VIA Hyperion driver package. Using Direct 3D (default).

Using 800×600 res in QL.Oh and btw even pros play low res, because better aiming.

I will test more settings soon, including OpenGL.

Any other ideas how i can boost the performance?

So i have 800×600 and ingame i set all setting to lowest values, plus i set from the console “r_picmip 10”.
Have external Monitor attached.

Streaming internet radio and playing in 800×600 almost smooth! Just tuff to set the sensibility right.

Dunno if it’s interesting to know, but EU2 runs like a charm too on max resoltion, though the map is a bit stretched (since EU2 wasn’t designed for widescreens).

I play everything on lowest detail, 640X480 res. Getting about 80-100 fps at the mo.

Only problem is my nc20 graphics keep getting stuck in a loop and crashing out. The screen goes black and I have to do a hard restart (hold power button for 5 secs). It’s quite frustrating. Sometimes it does it and sometimes is doesn’t
