MemberFWIW, I always use Crucial Memory for RAM upgrades, but I don’t know if they ship to Australia 😕

MemberI would use Kingston HyperX if running nc10 at stock (@ 533); yet, if overclocking is needed/wanted, go with the Corsair…

MemberI have Crucial CT25664AC800. Works fine.

MemberIMO RAM is RAM. Unless it runs at a lower speed, it either works or it doesn’t, and if it doesn’t, you send it back for a replacement dimm. Most people don’t even notice a difference between 1GB and 2GB in their Sammy so I would challenge anyone who claims X brand is noticeably better.
I don’t mess with overclocking though so maybe there is a difference there. For the record I got a Crucial 2GB Dimm bundled with my Sammy from Amazon and it’s been fine.

Aye, there’s the rub. From what I’ve heard, Crucial is very good at customer service and doing returns (although maybe British consumer law protects customers better than U.S law, making this point moot in UK?) Amazon has 533 Mhz 2Gig a bit cheaper, while on the Crucial.com site both 800Mhz and 533Mhz are the same price.August 27, 2009 at 8:46 am #194202TCMuffin

Yes it is. I do quite a lot of RAM upgrades and I always use Crucial – excellent customer service, fast delivery, competitive prices, and a system scanner to identify the correct RAM.November 30, 2009 at 4:47 pm #194220ajmatson
MemberI have been a hardware tester for a few years now and Mushkin memory has always been great for everything I need.

MemberHi, can anyone post CPU-Z or some other soft with your DRAM Freq.
I see it shows 266 with original 1GB and new 2GB Ram.
I suppose it should be higher?February 14, 2010 at 3:36 pm #194205tonytb
