MemberHi, I have a NP-NC10-HAV1UK from Vodafone, which is running windows 7 home edition (even with only 1 GB of ram, as I am awaiting the 2GB stick… stupid postal strikes) and It all works, from the webcam and mic to the… well everything, works perfectly. Apart from the HSDPA module.
I have installed all the windows 7 drivers avaible from samsung, but device manager says that the HSDPA module has no driver, so I cant get online using the mobile internet! Plus the driver auto update by searching the web yields no help!
Any ideas where I can get a driver for the HSPDA module?
PS. sorry, I missed out “Yes, but it doesn’t work!” in the poll!

MemberI’m running Windows 7 Professional with 2 Gb of RAM on my NC10 and it’s fine. I also run Office 2007 Ultimate and Microsoft Project 2007 which are also fine.

MemberI am awaiting my Win 7 to arrive from the UK, I will be so glad to be able to read everything in English as a side effect of upgrading too.
I notice that several of you seem to be dual booting with XP, is there still a real need to do that for everyday use?

No – the only reason I kept XP was for BIOS updates. But now Samsung has introduced BIOS updates under Windows 7, I have removed my XP partition. Just hadn’t got around to changing my signature!November 3, 2009 at 1:27 pm #204283jeepers01
ParticipantI installed Win7 as dual boot to hedge my options in case I had problems with certain apps in Win7 (which has subsequently proved not to be the case) so I could then flip back to XP as necessary.
I have no immediate plans to remove XP as the overhead on the machine is negligible, apart from the disk space which is not important to me, and it’s useful to keep XP so it can be referred to from time to time if needed. It’s amazing how quickly XP can be forgotten after being with Win 7 for a short while 🙂
Having said that it is surprising how many sub menu screens in Win 7 look exactly the same as some of the corresponding XP screens 😀

Memberjust got my NC10 a few weeks ago and works like a dream on XP.
i have Win7 on my own desktop and i certainly like the improvements (and even the RC1 version is more stable than my XP or Vista ever was). contemplating about upgrading the NC10 to Win7 but am holding off for a little bit.Is performance just as good as XP (or better) under Win7?
