Hi everyone,
I’m a bit new at this so i’ll try not to make any rookie errors but if i drop in the occasional faux pas please forgive me.
I have an N140 netbook that I have managed to completely and utterly “do over”. The recovery partition was inaccessable (i’d like to say a huge thanks to dosibox for this thread even though it didn’t help in my case), I couldn’t get into Windows at all and i couldn’t lay my hands on the recovery discs.
I managed to get hold of an OEM Windows 7 Starter install cd which meant I was able to get Windows back on it but still can’t access the recovery partition and the Samsung Recovery Solution 4 wont install as it can’t see a recovery partition. As a result of this I can’t use the Admin Tool to create a backup image either. (Another huge thanks this time to charta77 for their post in this thread enabling me to download the admin tool.) And, as is typical of me, i can’t remember where the safe place was that I filed my recovery cd’s.
My last resort before I breakdown and cry or throw my poor little netbook out of the window (haven’t quite decided which yet) is to beg the members of the site that has been so helpful to me thus far if anyone has an image of their hdd or images of their restore cd’s that they could possbly upload for me.
Ever hopeful,
Me.
