MemberIve never seen one, but just spent a while searching on the www (while having a cuppa).
I couldn’t find a USB to PCI slot adapter anywhere.I guess someone will now prove me wrong, but i don’t think any are currently available.

I have a SoundBlaster PCI card for laptop I need to install

MemberMaybe I’ve mis-read it, but isn’t that USB to PCMCIA rather than PCI?
As in http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=opera&rls=en&q=Quatech+PCD-X/U142-E&oe=utf-8&channel=suggest&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=6149044716277037685&output=nojsNovember 3, 2011 at 2:44 pm #215670jeepers01
ParticipantGeepers – After some serious searching there is a USB to PCI adapter available here.
No prices are stated for the ssi2 pci – SSI2 PCI card but software is supplied so it may be worth following up.I had been investigating the same type of adaptor to use with a Skystar2 satellite PCI card I have so let us know how you get on with the Soundblaster as I’ve got one of those knocking around here somewhere too 🙂
Hope this helps

MemberNO, it’s gotta be something like THIS:
http://www.govgroup.com/quatech_external_pc_card_adapter_pcd_x_u142_e-1053389-prd1.htm
NOW: Will THIS item WORK with a Soundblaster Laptop Card for audio??November 4, 2011 at 8:46 am #215674Fred232
MemberGeepers,
If you need USB to PCI then your link will not do it (as far as I’m aware) Your link leads to this – http://www.quatech.com/pdf/u142-e.pdf which seems to be USB to PCMCIA not PCI.
PCI bus – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conventional_PCI
PCMCIA bus – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PC_CardI may be wrong, but on reading these links, as I said in the post above, you wanted PCI and your link is PCMCIA. I dont think it will work.
Jeepers link may if they still stock them, but you’ll need a case etc I guess. But to be sure email them from their ‘contact us’ page and ask.

As Fred232 says, it won’t work.
It would probably be cheaper and more effective to buy a SoundBlaster USB if you need one.Hope this helps

MemberForgive me – I didn’t exactly specify – It’s THIS one (PCMCIA):
http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Blaster-Audigy-Notebook-PCMCIA/dp/B00067KZJII have one that NEEDS to be inserted into the Samsung Netbook for RECORDING purposes -NOT esp for playback..
So will THIS (link below) still do the job?…and/or is there anything like this available?
