Overall battery life NC10 20 months?

Had my NC10 for 20 months now, and am generally very pleased with it. However, I’ve noticed recently that the battery life is considerably reduced (to around two hours). I use it 90% of the times on battery and then recharge. Is this degradation to be expected at this point? Any comments gratefully received! Richard S

Mine must be a similar age, in fact will be 2 next month!

There has been much debate on the forum about battery preservation, yes batteries do have a finite life span. How you treat them will influence this although different people have different ideas (should we drain fully, should we disconnect when plugged into the mains etc).

I’ve just used my NC10 however felt natural and my battery still seems to offer about 3-4 hours. It does seem less but I’ve done no objective test. It just feels like I charge more frequently these days.

TIme to get a replacement (battery or whole netbook!)?

But good question, anyone know how many charges a battery should be good for?

A bit of an old thread but still relevant.

My NC10 is also about 20 months old and has been used virtually every single day. I only ever use it on battery when forced to which essentially is whilst watching movies whilst flying which equates to maybe 4-6 hours a month. The rest of the time it is plugged in and on charge.

I have just today done a calibration discharge/recharge (only about the 3rd time in 18 months) and my battery is showing the same 9% wear as it did before (Everest Ultimate) and with WiFi and Bluetooth turned off and brightness at 3 bars battery life is currently showing 6h48m.
