I finally said goodbye to XP and installed Win7RC and have noticed that boot up on my desktop (had to be upgraded as it was running Vista) showed a rather nice pulsating windows logo, whereas my Sammy only shows a vista-like horizontal process bar. Not a major issue, but I was wondering “why?”.

The same thing happened to me when I had Windows 7 on here. I think it might be down to the installation method? I’m using the RC as my primary desktop OS.
I copied all of the contents from the DVD onto a USB Stick and installed via that, I wonder if the flashy animated startup may be down to installing via the DVD? Who knows…
That was with the build 7057, I’m surprised to hear of it happening with the RC too. 🙁
The reason windows 7 doesn’t do the pulsating logo on the NC10 is because that boot up screen supports a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768, as the sammy supports a maximum of 1024 x 600 we unfortunatly get the old vista bar.
Whether MS will make that boot screen support lower resolution on final release is not yet know.
