MemberI just installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my n110. After the install everything is working normally. Do I need to install the drivers from the Samsung website such as the chipset? What about the Samsung software/programs?

ParticipantSome of the custom drivers have benefits such as the Bluetooth drivers which includes the WIDCOMM stack, the audio drivers seem to include better power management etc…
As for Samsungs software, some of it may be useful for example the Easy Speedup manager which allows you to set it to quiet mode.
I first ran Windows 7 without installing any of the drivers/software, though once the drivers/software became available I installed them which seemed to improve the battery life and performance (though I had to set the processor back to 100% in the power profile).

Participantjhawks – Welcome to the forum
Win 7 is pretty slick at installing drivers from it’s database, I too was quite impressed after I installed it a while back. It also checks the drivers online and downloads them if it detects better/more up to date ones, although you would have probably noticed it doing that.
You might want to check if you have 1152×864 resolution available in Display Settings. If not and you want it, download the Intel 8.15.10.1912 graphics driver.
I chose to install all the Samsung drivers after installation and have been pleased with the results. The Battery Manager gives a Samsung Optimizes power plan and when tweaked to 100% max processor when on battery it improves performance, although at at the expense of some battery life.
The only driver I didn’t change was the wireless driver since once a stable one is found I tend to keep it and more recent Atheros drivers have a habit of disabling wireless connectivity with some routers.
If you want to check the driver versions installed and check for updates that are available try DriverMax.com. This serves as a useful audit process to establish if the drivers are up to date and then a choice can be made as to whether the Samsung drivers need to be installed or not depending on the outcome of the report DriverMax produces.
It also checks the chipset driver versions and advises the latest updates available. All in all a very useful free program (limited to a couple of driver downloads per day) that just makes driver version checking very easy IMHO. Hence I use it to check what’s available and then download the driver from the Samsung Download site if I decide I need it but my principal is ‘if it ‘aint broke don’t fix it’ 🙂
Hope this helps

[/quote1268437542]Your welcomeEasy Battery Manager is not an application as such and does not run from a shortcut.
Click on the Power Icon in the tray area of the task bar and you will see that the ‘Samsung Optimized’ power plan has been added. Else go to Control Panel > Power Options to adjust as required.Hope this helps
