Yes, changing the boot order wasn’t hard, but I had real problems with Ubuntu – have taken notes about some of the experiences here on the forum and will try to work my way through – all problems seem in place – no wireless, terrible problems if trying to use the Fn keys, etc. Any wisdom on getting the NF310 to be Ubuntu happy is deeply appreciated – was Mint any easier?
Yes, Mint was smooth sailing, all the way. I too got frustrated with Ubuntu and went to Mint. Glad I did!

All we have in common is the machine, there are alot of variables in the software you have installed since opening the box. To be fair we should do some sort of basic bootup before running this comparison test. Anyway. Read my numbers and weep peasants! Bow before my 210! NASA asked me to borrow it the other day but I had to meet my friends at the coffee shop.

Here’s a tutorial explaining how to install ubuntu 10.10 ona samsung NF310 and how to solve every small problem. It’s in french, but google will help you to translate every thing in your prefered language.
