Newegg/Amazon still shipping blotched Sammys?

Anyone buy an NC10 in the past week or so from Amazon or Newegg. If so, did you get one with screen blotches or are those finally out of the loop?

I just got my black NC10 from Amazon on Wednesday and it’s perfect. I think they got it sorted out, mine was made 12/26/08. I doubt stores have older ones anymore.

Hi I got my Sammy around the first week of January also from Amazon with no problems..

I haven’t heard any new instances of this prob for a while so my guess is it is something that was an early problem but is now sorted. I think it only affected a small minority anyway.

Besides, as long as you order from a dealer with a good return policy, you should be fine.

I bought my white NC10 from Amazon a little over a week ago.

I notice a bit of irregularity on the bottom of my LCD screen. It’s not blotches like have been reported in the past. Rather, it’s a repetitive light/dark repeating pattern along the bottom of the screen. The variations aren’t great, but it is noticeable when the screen is set to all-white. Anyone else?

Not heard of that problem, although it does sound very similar to the screen blotches.

What you’re talking about is probably the space between the backlighting. I see it on just about every LCD screen. My PDAs were always like that.

Posted this in that blotch thread.

Purchased from buy.com last November. I’d like to get it serviced by Samsung at some point before the warranty expires. Speculating that the LCD is being pinched at the bottom causing those patterns down there. Didn’t return it initially because I had already returned one for a bad battery & scratched screen plus I got a good discount on the unit.
