MemberHi all, new to this forum, and I’m a new NC10 owner (Just acquired a new white one from Amazon UK)
Ok so the 1st day I charged the battery fully, and light on front went from amber to green, presumably to indicate a full charge. Have now used the machine for a few days, setting the PC up as I like it (preferred AV etc..)
Now last night 10.00pm I put the PC on to charge, yet this morning some 9 hours later it is only at 67% charge.
I got ready for work, 30 minutes later and it seems to have only crept up to 69%
Is this machine very slow to charge, or does this suggest a possible issue. Worried about a dodgy battery I’ve unplugged it completely for the day and will have another go/look when I am back home later.
Thanks… plan to be a regular reader and hopefully contributor here when I’m up and running!

MemberWelcome to the forum, alflavor 🙂
My NC10 charges quite quickly. I know that if I left it on charge overnight it will be fully charged by the morning.
I don’t know if anyone else has noticed a similar problem, but I do know that a couple of other forum members have had faulty batteries which have been replaced under warranty.

MemberThanks, still no luck, I ran it down to approx 45% tonight, and then back on the mains (different plug) and stuck at 69% again. Have logged a support request, and also registered my NC10! Hope to get sorted soon!

MemberWell support told me to do a Smart Battery Calibration through the BIOS – no joy it didn’t work.
So phoned support and am getting a new battery couriered out by Tuesday next week.
Result – hope this fixes the problem, should do I guess?

MemberLooks like a good result, and you still have use of your machine while you wait

MemberNah had checked the really obvious stuff. Anyhow a new battery arrived on Friday and is working perfectly. I also now have a spare albeit a dodgy one (doubt I’ll use TBH!)

That’s a good result – next day delivery! 🙂August 16, 2009 at 6:35 pm #198141tonytb
MemberExcellent news, pretty good service from Samsung. You may be wise not to rely on a dodgy spare battery, as you say.
