MemberHi all! My first thread!
I know there is another thread concerning this – so apologies.I bought a new white n210 from Micro Anvika today and asked whether it has an anti bacterial silver nano particled driven keyboard. They did not know. samung store opposite did not know either but thought it ws likely.
Micro say they will take it back if I find out that it DOES have nano particles and am worried about it.
The question is – does anybody know if this new range have it?
I have googled ad infinitum with no result.
I would love to keep it but am possibly concerned at health risks.
any thoughts anybody?

MemberWelcome to the forum, blue_eyes777 🙂
I don’t know whether or not the N210 has the antibacterial silver nanoparticles, but this topic was done to death when the NC10 was first released.

No problem. Actually you didn’t – we still don’t know if the N210 has a nanoparticle keyboard 😕And I was just trying to reassure you that even if it did have a nanoparticle keyboard, there is no known risk to health and wellbeing 🙂

MemberThank you.
I would like to keep it – the seal is still on LOL – as Micro will only take it back if it is unbroken!

What’s the problem with the nano keyboard 😕January 27, 2010 at 4:07 pm #209718Bismarck
MemberI’m wondering to. If it has any health effects, they probably are beneficial (as in less chance of catching or spreading germs if you ever share your netbook).

MemberWelcome to the forum! Yes this was discussed a while back and I remember the “debate” went on for a few pages.
Personally the nano particle thing really contributed nothing to my decision to buy – I wonder why Samsung bothered. Surely it didn’t swing all that many sales?!

MemberLOL – still haven’t returned this – thinking of keeping it now…seal still intact – not opened!

I admire your restraint as I couldn’t have an unopened sammy box in front of me for more than a few minutes 😀

Memberwell – first I am a hypochondriac!!!
I guess, the nano particles getting in my body and causing problems – apparently – silvernano particles are toxic to the mammalian brain???
Scary!
But I sooo want to keep it!January 31, 2010 at 10:29 pm #209708jeepers01
Participantblue_eyes777 – Lucky I haven’t got a mammalian brain then 😀
I often wondered why my memory was going after using my NC10 for a year.
Suppose it’s got nothing to do with age . . . . . has it?
Seriously, it’s not as though one comes in contact with the membrane in normal use, but who knows. There are always reports that research throws up from time to time that claims something is bad for us and in the meantime I think I will enjoy my sammy 🙂

MemberSo the nano particles are in the membrane of the keyboard – inaccesible to fingers or are they on the surface on the keyborad?
