Hey Guys,
My wireless card has completely given up. Tried lots of troubleshooting but I’ve resigned to the fact that it’s the wireless card that is faulty.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a reasonably priced one that is compatible with the NC10

pulp163 – Several users have installed the Intel 5300 card with reported good results, see here and here
AFAIK there is no need to install a third new aerial if only wireless ‘G’ band is required although it may improve the wireless range.Is the current Atheros card reporting itself correctly in Device Manager?

Installing the 5300 card (ebay) was a doddle….
Im a real old timer and managed it in less than an hour.Regards

@jeepers, no it’s not reporting properly at all. I tried numerous solutions including re-installing the drivers etc but to no avail, my wireless network just never shows up anymore.
Sorry now but I’m not the most technical of people but is this the one I’m looking for?

I didn’t need to install the third aerial either because I didn’t require the G band.
I’ve had no problems since and more or less full signal all around the house!
I replaced my atheros card with the bgn version of the Intel 5100 card (512AN_MMWW) which has the same two aerial connections. It worked perfectly as soon as I installed it. I installed the Intel Connection Utility from the supplied CD to replace the Windows drivers and it gives rock-solid connection all around the house. The Atheros card gave repeated disconnections no matter which driver I installed.
