Hey,
I’ve been managing to get quite a few games running on my Samsung NC20 (running Windows 7 with 2GB ram), which has been pretty suprising for a netbook!
Unfortunately I can’t seem to get Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition to run, basically as soon as I run it the screen goes black and it stops responding, it doesn’t even really start. I’ve been through every NWN resolution/fix article I can find and have tried everything from the basic running in compatiability mode to disabling intro movies, reduced graphics settings, etc etc.
I use to run it on my old laptop which had lower specs and a intel integrated graphics card. I’m running 8.14.14.69 of the Via Chrome9 HC3 IGP WDDM drivers which I think is the latest. I was starting to think that it must be the video card, yet I saw a post on here where somone ran NWN succesfully.
Any ideas on how I can get it to run on the NC20? Any particular tweaking needed?
Might be a WIndows 7 issue – tried XP compatibility yet?
Got it working under xp – remember to use “miles fast 2d positional audio” though as I wrote in the wiki.
