I was opening the lcd the assembly to clean some white spots on the plastic sheet behind the lcd. This is not the first time I’ve done it. When I put everything back together, all I get when the computer starts is a blank grey scrren. Everything else works as I can hear it boots into 7. I haven’t connected it yet to an external monitor as I don’t have one. Any suggestion? Or am i really f**ed here?
recheck everything. still as grey as the sky can be in france.
update : i think it’s not the lcd but the connector to the mainboard. does anyone know where i can get a replacement for the connector?
update on the subject: i finaly bought an lcd off ebay for 100€. waiting for it to arrive and tell you all how it goes. for now i’m off to berlin.
Received my new lcd from ebay. the seller was bumblesale. installed it and everything is good. i really recommend this seller as the lcd is actually an original oem part from samsung.
