MemberGreetings:
Pricing aside, what are the pros of getting the special edition over the regular?
What keyboard changes had to take place for the larger track pad?
What’s the impact of the anti-gloss screen if you are outside or in your car?
Thank you.

Memberprice of special edition on amazon.com has fallen to $469. Does this signal an advent of new models from samsung and other competitors??
I am afraid that I would be forced to sell my nc10 for the newer models.

MemberGreetings:
Thank you very much. I ended up ordering the regular one after reading about the display having glare in non optimal lighting conditions.
Thank you.

MemberHi, I have the SE version. There is no difference in the kybrd at all. The screen is not glossy either, it’s a standard matte one (which I prefer). The trackpad is only a few mm larger verticly…the main reason to get the SE is the 5900mAh battery.
Amazon actually has the correct pics for the SE or you can see my unboxing pics in the amazon march 6th thread. For me, the extra $30 was worth it for the added battery life and very slightly larger trackpad.
Good luck though, either way you go, the NC10 is a great netbook.

MemberI have NC10 special edition too. I did not have a chance to compare it with regular versions but my biggest conccern is that getting support such as BIOS update from samsung. I cannot find any kind of support for the special edition online.

Member^ The support would be the same, the only issue might be the trackpad… which should use standard drivers anyway
I have an SE, but I really can’t compare the battery to the original to see if it has more life. I have yet to go past the 6.5 hour mark with it, but I can say that one episode of Top Gear would use up somewhere between 10 and 15% according to BattStat, which seems about right for the specs.
