MemberI wanted to briefly share my experience with my Samsung NC-10 this past week.
I took a trip to Thailand and wanted to stay connected via Skype with my house-sitter.Each day I would access Skype through the hotel Wi-Fi and successfully “dial” my home computer where I could have a daily video chat with the sitter. The Sammy ran flawlessly. Basically whenever I wanted to call someone in the US, I’d call using the Sammy.
I also updated Facebook a few times with photos and of course checked email regularly.
I didn’t get a chance to test out the battery life as the airplane had plugs (business class) and the hotel had outlets that worked with my US plug. I would simply plug in my US cable to the Thailand outlet which looked a tad different, yet would accommodate my plug without need for an adapter.
I have the original NC-10 running stock with the 1GB RAM, never have installed my 2GB chip.
On a side note, my traveling companion had a Fujitsu P5000 laptop that for some reason continually rebooted, so my NC-10 took care of my computing needs and hers.
I’ve owned the Sammy for several months (possibly 6), and this was the first time I was able to test it out in a field type situation. Couldn’t be happier to report such good news.

MemberThanks for reporting back Lisa, good to see Sammy has proved to be a fantastic travel companion. I don’t suppose you have any NC10 pics from Thailand you would like to share?

Memberdockehr, Skype was invaluable to me, I was able to stay in touch for free whereas my cell company wanted $1.29 a minute.
Mr. SammyNetbook – Shucks! I could have taken some cool shots with elephants or with tigers. I’ll know next time to get a traveling NC10 shot.Lisa

MemberHow was the Thailand trip going, Lisantica? ^_^ I am Thai people, and also use NC10 in Thailand. It’s great netbook. I love it too. Unfortunately, in Thailand, the Samsung netbook is not quite popular. Most Thai people use Acer or Asus instead, as they come to the Thai market first.
Hope, there will be more people to use the Sammy netbook here ^_^.

Memberton076, I really enjoyed my Thailand vacation, hope to visit again. I would like to explore more of the country. I spent 4 days in Bangkok and 3 days in Kanchanaburi.
