N510 uses same battery as NC10?

I’ve seen comments that imply that the N510 has the same battery as the NC10, and studying the photos it looks likely to be true. But it would be nice to know for sure.

Are there any kind N510 + NC10 owners out there who can confirm?

This would also answer the questions I’ve seen about whether larger (e.g. 9 cell) batteries would be available for the N510.

It looks like it is the same battery, just took mine out and the part number is

AA-PL8NC6B

This means the bigger one on DealExtreme should work – Woohoo!

just be wary of cheap Chinese rip offs, not once, has any third party battery I bought actually meet the specification as advertised!

That’s great news – I’m planning to get the N510 but keep my NC10 as a spare so it’s good to know I’ll be able to swap the batteries around.

Both my son and I had good results with our 9 cell batteries through DealExtreme. Waiting on the 510 to hit the USA shores and maybe I’ll pull the plug on one to “back up” my NC10. Oh yeah!!
