N220 with Windows 7 Starter compatible with Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus

I just bought a N220 and am very happy so far. I am unhappy with the Windows Office Trial version though and need to upgrade to use Office (Word, Excel, etc. for my PhD).

Does anybody know if windows 7 starter is compatible with Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus.

Do I have to upgrade the Windows 7 starter pack first to install Microsoft Office 2010?

My N220 has 2 GB Ram

Any help super appreciated. Just make to make the right choice.

Netty 220 – Welcome to the forum

Office 2010 should run fine on the N220 but you will find that the top ribbon will reduce the effective screen working area unlike Office 2003.

There is a free alternative that is Office ‘compatible’ at openoffice.org that you might like to try out.
