MemberOK, I like the colours, but what’s with the large bezel, but only a 1024×600 screen? Is it because the new graphics still can’t handle 768HD?
It includes a GMA3150, which is an underclocked version of a GMA3100, which itself is an underclocked version of a GMA3000, giving it only slightly better graphics ability than the current GMA950!!

To be honest, I would love to upgrade my NC10 to something, but i’m sure not sure this initial offering is actually offering enough to justify it. Open to changing my mind though, so somebody give me a reason to spend some money on a new Sammy!

MemberHi Dino,
Netbooks have not evolved into graphics powerhouses yet, no. The graphics card seems to have been chosen for it’s power saving rather than speed.

MemberOf course, of course. But to bring out a new model with deliberately lowered specs (and which forces ION off the mainboard) is absolutely typical of Intel keeping a lid on the netbook explosion rather than actually seeking to innovate and develop the field. Not saying I want the world, just steady improvement!

MemberYesterday (1-12-10) my wife and myself were shopping for a new laptop at our local best buy. After deciding that what she really needed was something very light and would get her online. The majority of laptops weigh in somewhere in the 5+ lb. range, which counts when your flying. We decided to purchase a sammy netbook because of brand and price. We were very surprised when we got the box up to the register and found that what was the last sammy netbook in the store turned out to be a n210. After getting it home and running the set up, she is extremely happy with this great little netbook. It weighs in at 3.8 lbs. or less, and has an incredible battery, the screen is very bright, and viewable from just about every angle. We got the white case and it is very durable, the hinge opens past 90 degrees, to somewhere in the 125 degree range. I’ve not tried out the web cam yet, but it seems to be a decent 1.3 mb model. One thing that this netbook has is wireless N, every netbook we looked at had the g spec. Now I don’t know how well the n210 will hang when it comes to video, however we really didn’t purchase it for that purpose, we have a 17″ notebook, and enough other gadgets for video anyway. My wife will use this on her up coming trip to Maine next week and I’ll post some more info then.

Memberyour are welcome. BTW, the battery life has been excellent. It was charged fully the first day, then run on battery for somewhere close to 7 hours, with no signs of stopping.
