[N140] N140 fan noise??

Hi, everybody…..

First of alll, sorry for my poor english…

I like this model in particular and I’m going to buy it, but first I’d like to know; how noisy is this model?, Im going to use it in a clashroom, then i need quite and silence netbook.

Anybody could help me to show how noisy is this model?

Hi, I have had my N140 for just over a week and have not experienced much fan noise at all. Because the machine doesn’t generate much heat the fan rarely needs to come on.

Do you think that this model is silent enough to use in a clashroom? (surrounded by other students in complete silence) while I use it with office programs like Word, powerpoint, or maybe some programming tools??.

Obviouly I’ll use it to other things, like surf the net or watching videos or movies….

I think this model could be enough to do that? Finally, it’s true that the battery is up 8 hours? (with this kind of programms runnig in it).

I would think that your tapping on the keys would be seriously louder than the fan.

lokiju – The N140 and NC10’s we have are I would say totally quiet to the extent that you could hear a pin drop next to them. The fan/HDD noise is extremely quite soas to be virtually on existent.

When I fire up the other HP laptop it’s like a 747 taking off in comparison 🙂
