Hi, can anyone help?, i got a Samsung N130 on contract with Vodafone last month, the guy in the Vodafone store recommended i installed Avast! anti-virus & Comodo firewall. The touch pad was working great at first, then i downloaded Avast! & it was still working fine, then after i downloaded Comodo it started having annoying problems, sometimes when i touch the touchpad the cursor freeze’s & i cant move it for an average of 6 minutes before it will work again, the longest time i waited for it to unfreeze was about 15 minutes, i get this problem a lot of the time & its really annoying, its lead me to seek help in finding a way to fix this fault.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Had a similar problem with my NC10 before, what worked for me was
1) Opening Comodo, go to the firewall option along the top.
2) Click on “Define new trusted application”
3) In the new window, click select
4) Then “all running processes” which should open a screen with a list of the processes
5) Scrolling until you find SynTPEnh.exe, double click it, which will bring you back to the define window, and click apply to add it to the trusted applications.
Hope it helps, I’ve not had a problem since 🙂
thanks, i’ll give that a try, SynTPHelper.exe kept popping up when the touchpad started freezing at first. 🙂
😀 Thank you tuxgirl for the great help, it solved my really frustrating problem 😀 😀 😀
Glad it helped 🙂
Nice 1, always good when someone is able to share a well targeted solution to a problem!
I’ve been having the same problem!! How do I open “Comodo?” I’ve never installed it but I find comod.ini files when I search with avafind. Veeeeery frustrating this cursor hanging thingi…:-(
