MemberOK, please correct anything that I have misunderstood/misstated:
1) The 1GB of memory can be upgraded to 2GB maximum.
2) It’s possible to wipe out Windows XP and do a fresh install of Windows 7 (32-bit). Some drivers may need to be downloaded from samsung’s website.
Questions:
1) To install Windows 7, can I use a USB thumb drive, or do I need a USB DVD drive?
2) Besides downloading hardware drivers, is there anything else that I should install from Samsung (and specific utilities that make the netbook work better)?

MemberHey jeepers, maybe this should be a separate thread, but here’s one more question – I thought my wife had actually ordered the N130 yesterday, but she did not. I see that buy.com has the N120 for about $295, so I looked it up on the samsung website to compare it to the N130… it looks identical except that the N120 seems slightly better in a couple of areas – it has bluetooth, better built-in speakers, and possibly a better webcam. Is that accurate? Any reason to go with the N130 over the N120?

MemberHi BrettStah,
One difference that you might take into account, if you have a preference, is that the N130 has a matte screen whilst the N120 has a gloss screen.
Some things, like bluetooth inclusion or not, vary from country to country, so check what is actually available where you live when you choose.

MemberThanks, tonytb! I sent the info to my wife and the cost differential between the two models is very small, so I’ll let her decide. She probably won’t use it outside much, so the glossy screen shouldn’t be a big deal in terms of glare. She may want to use a wireless mouse/keyboard with it on occasion, and the bluetooth stuff could come in handy in that case, so I’m thinking she will pick the N120.
