Hi.
I am a new owner of a N130 with XP installed.
I am having problems printing from Word and Open Office. The printer’s drivers are installed and it prints fine from other applications. It just don’t want to print from those two applications. The printer is a Gestetner DSM415pF on my network.
I have deleted the printer and installed the newest drivers but the problem does not want to go away.
Any ideas?

Not sure why OpenOffice should be a problem but have you got the latest updates and service pack installed for Word? There may well be an update available for OpenOffice, worth checking.
Are both programs seeing the printer driver in the application?
Try shortening the shared printer file name and use underscore instead of spaces.

I have tried everything. The programs see the printer but gives an error message if you want to print.
Very frustrating. I am considering doing a backup and installing Windows 7.

[/quote1266952985]Have you checked that the firewall is not blocking the connection to the network printer?@ Alfihar: The message is:”Could not start printer. Please check your printer cofiguration.”
@ jeepers: I can print from other programs like Foxit so I doubt if it is the firewall. I did switch it off but it still gave me an error message.
The strange thing is that it works one out of ten times.
