KCJuly 9, 2009 at 8:29 am #195755Prophecy MemberFirst Impressions On the Samsung N120 Build Quality
I had Recieved a HP Mini 2140 Unit from a friend who wanted to upgrade the ram n HDD and i was wow’d by the construction of the lil thing damn this is the best it can get and i also recieved a Lenovo S10 so i was like Not the best built but Kinda good for the price then one weekend window shopping i saw the N120 n was like dat is freakin awesome so i bought it. Here is how it is, the built quality is miles ahead from the Lenovo just a little less then the HP Mini 2140,
just a lil 🙂Rating: 8/10 Screen : Damn, It isn’t GLOSSY Glossy it is just right for a glossy screen i don’t understand why people exaggerate over a glossy and a non glossy screen its purely personal preference some people think glossy screens gives the netbook an edge, ya right we techies know and know 4 like sure that “An edge” is not more important then outdoor usability so there i said it and like i mentioned HP Mini 2140 i had it for a few days so glossy is a no no……..
The Colour saturation is top notch man these guys make panels so they know what is right and how much is right in terms of resolution, i had no problems with the resolution really neat and easy on the eyes, the brightness on full is like totally awesome it will blow u away dude k im exaggerating it is just perfect for such a lil piece of art.Rating : 9/10 (i would give it 10 but more glossy or less glossy its glossy for sure) Speakers : Now who the hell puts such a awesome set of speakers on a netbook and yet people complain about twiny audio quality come on guys if samsung had to put on big a** speakers it wouldn’t be so little and surely will not be a netbook so there i said it. K the sound output is pretty good for a netbook but not as good. Rating : 7/10 Keyboard : Now the perfect thing on this netbook is for sure its Keyboard the arrangement is perfect nearly full size thats what Samsung is claiming and they are right for sure. All keys have a good feedback excellent for touch typing, and the Samsung’s Anti-Bacterial Coating is a safe bet what so ever if many people use your Sammy. Battery Life : I was Able to squeeze nearly 6 hours running Windows 7 on this baby (precisely 5:52) with Bluetooth off and screen brightness 3 bars or so i have kinda mixed opinions on the battery life but still its pretty good for a netbook because you got to be whack if you are going to surf the net for 5 and something hours man seriously !!! k watever its pretty good incase you r running Windows 7 on your Sammy. Rating : 7/10 Value : Excellent value for the price you are going to pay as i have mine for a week or so and i m happy to say there is no problem yet so kudos to Samsung. so here it is my first impressions on the Samsung N120 July 9, 2009 at 9:01 am #195754jez MemberHi Prophecy, welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your thoughts on the N120. Were you hoping for nearer 10 hours or so battery life? Perhaps a high capacity N120 battery could help you out. I agree with the point about speakers, and apparently the N120 ones are better than the NC10 ones so be thankful lol 🙂 July 9, 2009 at 9:21 am #195756Prophecy Memberthanks and ya im looking forward to purchase a higher capacity battery pack so will look into that the highest is i guess is a 9 cell battery pack will keep u guys updated tc
